- Prepare and cook a variety of fried food items, including appetizers, side dishes, and entrees, according to established recipes and standards.
- Monitor and regulate temperatures of frying equipment to ensure food is cooked safely and to specifications.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the fry station, including regular cleaning of equipment, utensils, and work area.
- Ensure proper storage and rotation of food products to minimize waste and maintain freshness.
- Collaborate with kitchen team members to coordinate timing of food orders and ensure efficient service.
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations, including proper handling and storage of food products.
- Assist in other areas of the kitchen as needed, including prep work, stocking supplies, and dishwashing.
- Follow instructions from the head chef or sous chef and contribute ideas for menu development and improvement.
- Previous experience working as a fry cook or in a similar role in a restaurant or food service establishment.
- Knowledge of proper food handling and safety procedures.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Culinary degree or certificate from a recognized culinary school (preferred but not required).
