    Join Our Team as a Surgical Technologist at Covenant HealthCare!

    Location: Saginaw, MI

    Shift: Day Shift

    Employment Type: Full-time with Benefits

    Summary:

    The Surgical Technologist, working closely with a team of medical professionals led by a Registered Nurse, provides technical patient care across all age groups.

    The role requires exceptional customer service, aligning actions with the values of Covenant HealthCare, and dedication to providing top-notch care for every patient.

    Responsibilities:
    - Contribute to achieving organizational financial goals.

    - Engage with patients of all ages, ensuring appropriate care according to established guidelines.

    - Maintain a clean and organized patient environment.
    - Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.
    - Assist in maintaining supply inventory.
    - Participate in patient care activities and continuous education.
    - Adhere to department policies and procedures.
    - Maintain confidentiality at all times.
    - Support training of new staff and students.

    Scrub Person Responsibilities:
    - Prepare instruments and equipment for procedures.
    - Ensure sterile field setup.
    - Assist during surgeries.
    - Follow sterile techniques.
    - Prepare and apply dressings.
    - Clean and sterilize instruments.

    Assistant Responsibilities:
    - Assist surgeons as directed.
    - Support wound closure procedures.

    Additional Requirements:
    Education/Experience:
    - High School diploma or equivalent.
    - Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program.
    - BLS certification.
    - Surgical Technologist certification preferred.

    Skills and Abilities:
    - Proficient in surgical instrumentation.
    - Knowledge of sterilization procedures and operating room protocols.
    - Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
    - Excellent communication and customer service skills.

    Working Conditions/Physical Demands:
    - Ability to consistently meet attendance standards.
    - Standing for extended periods.
    - Lifting up to 25 lbs frequently and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
    - Various physical demands such as carrying, stooping, reaching, etc.

    Job Type:
    Full-time

    Compensation:
    $28.50 per hour
