    Castle seeks a meticulous and proactive Accounting and Tax Compliance Specialist to own our financial record-keeping, month-end processes, and ensure tax compliance across multiple regions. We're looking for someone highly detail-oriented who thrives in an agile environment, excels at managing daily finance tasks, and is passionate about streamlining operations for our growing company. We leverage a modern tech stack, including Brex, Rippling, and other tools to automate processes and maximize efficiency.

    This is a remote role in a distributed team with hubs in Brooklyn, NY (US) and Cracow (Poland).

    Responsibilities

    Own day-to-day financial processes, including month-end closures, expense reporting, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.

    Ensure accurate and timely filing of state-specific taxes. Work closely with our accounting firm to facilitate regular audits, financial reviews, and tax preparation.

    Oversee contractor tax compliance through proper documentation and adherence to regulations.

    Manage payroll, employee benefits administration (401k, health insurance, etc.), handle insurance renewals, and ensure HR compliance for our globally distributed team.

    Facilitate administrative coordination between U.S. and Sweden-based company entities, handle incoming and outgoing physical mail, and manage vendor relationships including payments and invoice tracking.

    Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in accounting, with at least 1-2 in a SaaS environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of US GAAP and evolving tax regulations, especially as they pertain to SaaS companies.
  • Unwavering attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Experience with accounting software (Quickbooks, Xero, or similar), Brex, Rippling, and strong Excel skills. Bonus points if you're passionate about process automation tools
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating cross-functionally in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
