    Job Description

    You will lead a team of Commodity Managers and Buyers, develop global sourcing strategies and supply for a portfolio of commodities.

    Achieve year-on-year improvement in total cost, quality, and service while leading supply management activities including risk mitigation and managing supplier relationships for a portfolio of commodities.

    Lead strategic sourcing teams and accountable for implementation of Commodity Sourcing Strategies.
    Plan and implement activities related to procurement, inventory control, planning and quality control of production materials.

    Ensure the availability of materials in the supply chain, as scheduled, and the maintenance of inventory at minimum acceptable levels.

    Source and supply raw materials, utilities and outside services, as well coordinating global procurement efforts.

    May work with customers in auditing customer inventory levels and with internal and external vendors to comply with inventory policies.

    Hire, develops, and evaluates performance of employees.
    Responsibilities

    With guidance from the Director Strategic Sourcing, develop the sourcing strategy for assigned commodities, using input from the sourcing team and global/regional partners within the teams.

    The sourcing strategy will guide the continuous improvement of Rockwell's Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) for the assigned commodities.
    Create implementation of the sourcing strategy for assigned commodities. Once a sourcing strategy has been developed, the Manager will communicate and manage team compliance of the strategy. The Manager will also establish working relationships with other departments (e.g. Engineering, Plant Operations, Supplier and Product Quality), bringing a Strategic Sourcing perspective to all main processes.
    Lead strategic sourcing teams.

    The Manager will lead and improve results of specific strategic sourcing strategies within assigned commodities and must be successful at managing and influencing a team.

    The Manager will be a catalyst for change to achieve team goals and addressing barriers to change. The Manager will hire, train, motivate and coach employees, and assess employee performance.
    Develop an expertise in the department and corporate needs and capabilities for commodities. The Manager partners with teams to understand their objectives and formulates strategies to achieve desired business results. On an ongoing basis, the Manager will remain current on supply market trends, supplier economics, and best practice sourcing
    Responsible for Global Supplier Management. The Manager will monitor and evaluate supplier performance around quality, delivery, lead time of all suppliers. Conduct regular strategic reviews with suppliers and partners to ensure continuous improvement of the supply base.
    Measure performance on Sourcing Indicators within each commodity. The Manager will be responsible for monthly reporting to senior management on goals within the supply chain. The Indicators may include savings, quality, delivery, lead time, market trends.
    Identify Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) reduction opportunities for assigned commodities or services. Within the team or function, the Manager will advocate for annual productivity improvements by leading internal and joint supplier/unit teams pursuing TCO reduction opportunities according to the sourcing strategy (e.g. lowering inventory levels, increasing yields, improving supplier operations, demand management, improving supply chain flexibility, etc.).
    Basic Qualifications

    Preferred Qualifications
    Drive business results through effective communication and interdepartmental collaboration
    Six (6) years of experience working in strategic sourcing or an operations discipline in a manufacturing and industrial environment
    Basic knowledge of commodities (Direct / Indirect, depending on role), supply management practices and analytics
    People management experience

    Travel: 20% (Domestic & International)

    Advanced knowledge of commodities (e.g. electronics, factored product, Mechanicals).
    Develop and execute strategy, and manage assignments requiring identification of objectives, resources and/or approaches.
    Use data reporting to make decisions and influence other.
    Comfortable in leading teams
    Advanced formal degree
    Working knowledge of ERP systems is essential, SAP.
