    Role Responsibilities:

    • Consistently demonstrates superior customer service skills to external and internal guests.
    • Maintains upbeat, positive attitude, friendly and helpful demeanor, positive energy and enthusiasm from one interaction to the next.
    • Utilizes smiles and frequent eye contact and friendly tone of voice to project warmth and friendliness.

    • Is ready to serve and well informed of daily facility hours of operation, promotional programs and any other relevant valuable guest information; builds relationships by greeting guests with a warm, friendly verbal greeting.

    • Executes all service programs to assure prioritization of service to very best guests.
    • Checks for satisfaction and properly uses the Service Recovery process to resolve problems when they exist.
    • Promotes JACK programs and JACK registration and membership.
    • Provides a warm farewell and thanks guests for visiting.
    • Promotes JACK and always projects JACK in a positive light to guests.
    • Acknowledge, greet and converse in English when creating a great time, every time.
    • Must be knowledgeable of all store merchandise and communicate this knowledge in a friendly and helpful manner to customers.
    • Implement 100% Satisfaction Guarantee when needed.
    • Answers questions concerning location, price and use of merchandise.
    • Must be able to use suggestive selling techniques with customers.
    • Accurately size customers.
    • Directs/escorts customers to cashier.
    • Must be able to operate cash register to total guest purchases and accurately balance cash drawer on a daily basis.
    • Must be able to review price sheets for price change/adjustment, must be able to collect cash, check, charge for each transaction.
    • Must be able to weigh items, bag merchandise and wrap and gift wrap merchandise.
    • Inspects merchandise prior to wrap/bagging to verify that merchandise is in satisfactory condition.
    • Wrap packages for shipment/route to delivery department.
    • Assist in stocking and store displays as needed, maintain cleanliness of the store, dusted, keep merchandise folded, etc.
    • Stock shelves, counters, tables, displays, etc.
    • Obtains merchandise from stockroom when merchandise is not on floor.
    • Must have working knowledge of garment construction, fabric and styles.
    • Re-hangs garments according to size on display rack.
    • Refastens buttons, zippers tried on buy customers.
    • Adhere to all departments and property policies and procedures must be able to meet the attendance guidelines of the department.

    Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

    • Must be able to work independently.
    • Must be able to maneuver throughout all areas of the property and from floor to floor either by stairways (minimum of 20 steps) or escalator.
    • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.; and, have the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop and kneel.
    • Respond to visual and aural cues.
    • Must have the manual dexterity to operate a computer and other necessary office equipment.
    • Must be able to tolerate areas containing dust, loud noises and bright lights.
    • Must be able to work varied shifts, weekends and holidays as needed.
    • Ability to simultaneously manage several projects, and not be frustrated by changing priorities and unforeseen obstacles to achieving objectives.
    • Ability to speak distinctly and persuasively.
    • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English

    Education & Experience Requirements

    • High School Diploma or GED required
    • Prior cashier/general office experience and customer contact experience is preferred.
    • Must have strong customer service, written/verbal communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
    • Must be available to work a flexible schedule that includes nights, weekends, and holidays.
    • Must present a neat and professional appearance.
    • Work requires interactions with customers, public and co-workers.
    • Work requires teamwork with other staff members.
    • Must be 21 years of age.
