    Product Development Specialist
    A Los Angeles based Apparel Company is looking for a Product Development Specialist.

    The candidate we seek should have a proven track record in product development and a passion for fashion. Should be adept at working in a fast pace environment under pressure of deadlines while managing multiple projects simultaneously.


    As a part of your responsibilities, you will collaborate with colleagues from various departments, such as Design, CAD, and Production, to ensure the timely development of garments.

    You will work closely with Senior Designers and Associate Designers to develop products across all categories, from the initial concept stage to the final sample stage.

    What you will do:

    You must have an eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

    You will be responsible for overseeing the product design, sampling, working on style development, and ensuring that technical elements are published and completed to meet or exceed calendar deadlines.

    You will also need to ensure that the product development timeline is met and adhered to, track progress, and provide updates and solutions to stakeholders.

    Experience in calendar development and adherence is critical to the success of this role.
    You must be knowledgeable in fabric and garment construction.
    Other responsibilities

    :

    Creating and maintaining garment product development records and calendar tracking for
    approximately garments per season.
    Developing, and maintaining relationships with internal partners and external factories.
    Ensuring quality control standards are met for all samples received.
    Providing administrative and product development support to designers.
    PLM style creation and tech pack creation.
    Work with CAD dept for final presentation.
    Responsible for maintaining company margins and customer margin goals by category.
    Creating, tracking, and processing garment development and customer samples through the
    issuance of POs/work orders across external contractors.
    Hand-off of samples to each division for their library keeping.
    Other duties as assigned
    What we are looking for:


    • Fluent Mandarin or Chinese a plus but not required.
    • Private Label experience is desired.
    • PLM proficiency is a plus; Centric.
    • Microsoft suite
    • Adobe Photoshop
    Experience :

    4+ years of experience in apparel product development
