- We're seeking a BC/BE Pediatric Nephrologist for an exciting opportunity in the Section of Pediatric Nephrology at Ochsner Hospital for Children in New Orleans, Louisiana.
- The successful candidate will be an integral part of a comprehensive pediatric kidney care program within Ochsner's Health's regional health system, the largest not-for-profit academic health system in the Gulf South.
- Provide inpatient and outpatient kidney care for children with acute, chronic and end-stage renal disease.
- We currently care for patients in an expanding 54-bed Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, a 14-bed PICU, a 12-bed pediatric CV-ICU, and a 44-bed pediatric acute unit, with a dedicated pediatric emergency room, and full-time, region-wide in-house pediatric and neonatal transport teams.
- In addition to patient care, Ochsner Children's Hospital has an ACGME-accredited pediatric residency program and is responsible for teaching pediatric residents from the Tulane-Ochsner Pediatric Residency program as well as medical students from both Tulane and the University of Queensland.
- Ochsner Health and Xavier University of Louisiana recently announced an agreement to establish a joint College of Medicine.
- Ochsner Children's offers a full range of pediatric care from primary to quaternary care, with services offered in all subspecialties, including Congenital Cardiac Surgery, Advanced GI and Hepatology, Advanced Orthopedic Surgery, Hematology-Oncology, Cleft Palate/Cranio-Facial Surgery, as well as heart, liver, and bone marrow transplant.
- Ochsner also maintains 28 primary care locations across southern Louisiana and 30 subspecialty locations (Including the Shaquille O'Neal Pediatric Super Clinic in Baton Rouge); and the Boh Center for Child Development, a dedicated multidisciplinary developmental pediatrics center.
