- Arrange law office activity such as drafting subpoenas and coordinating with process servers
- Organize our case filing systems to ensure all documents are properly sorted and easy to locate, and other administrative duties as needed
- Help lawyers prepare for trial by preparing and organizing exhibits, assisting with client meetings, filing motions, conducting research on legal articles, and organizing and coordinating witnesses
- Assist lawyers in preparing legal documentation, pleadings, and correspondence including correspondence such as interrogatories, subpoenas, deposition notices, complaints, pretrial orders, legal briefs, and affidavits
- Hold client interviews to gather information about their legal problems
- Job duties include addressing client issues through email, zoom, and phone contact
- Handle attorney calendars, set mediation, and court hearings, draft legal documents, coordinate with other staff members on administrative matters, and be an active team member of our firm
- Take care of administrative tasks such as maintaining an organized filing system, and scheduling appointments for two attorneys
- Handle time and billing for self and two attorneys daily and be responsible for accurate accounting of WIP on a twice-monthly basis
- Be willing to maintain a good work/personal life balance to be a happy and contributing member of our group
- At least 3 years of experience in legal services under an attorney or lawyer in a law firm setting
- Talented communicator and writer
- Must have great time-management skills, and organizational skills
- Candidates must have completed an ABA-approved paralegal certificate program such as an Associate's degree or proprietary school program in paralegal studies, Bachelor's degree preferred
- Strong preference for candidates who have completed a paralegal professional certification or have an advanced paralegal education
