    RoleAccounts Payable SpecialistThe Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day financial transactions relating to payments.

    The Accounts Payable Specialist must exercise discretion in executing essential functions and be able to work independently, following through on assignments and deadlines.


    RequirementsPrimary Responsibilities:


    Ensure vendor and supplier invoices are paid in a timely and accurate manner while adhering to departmental proceduresCompare invoice details (prices, terms of payment, etc.) to approved purchase orders or other approval documentation prior to paymentPrepare ACHs, wires, checks, credit card payments, and manual payments for releaseRecord AP activities (vouchers, payments, etc.)

    in accounting systemEnsure AP related documentation is maintained in accordance with Company record keeping practicesExercise integrity and confidentiality in financial reportingRespond to vendor and supplier correspondence and inquiries via emailAssist with month-end reporting tasksAssist in compiling information and documentation for auditsWork with AR and other departments as needed to resolve issues

    Position Requirements:
    High school diploma.

    Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred2 years of experience in Accounts Payable role using financial/accounting softwareProficient in Microsoft ExcelExcellent organization skills and attention to detailCommunication (written and verbal) skills, including interpersonal and collaborative abilitiesConfident working independently and using initiative to guide through challengesWillingness to learn new skillsAbility to follow up on pending issues and ability to meet deadlinesStarting hourly rate $20.50 to $23.50 per hour.
