    Description


    SUMMARY:

    Cleans, sanitizes and keeps tidy various areas of the facility, including restrooms, break rooms, offices, front end, entrance/exits, and other areas as assigned in a safe and efficient manner.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Sweeps, dusts, mops, scrubs, washes, vacuums floors, walls, woodwork, windows, furniture, equipment, and hardware.
    • Cleans and sanitizes rest rooms, break rooms, offices and other assigned areas. Also replenishes supplies as needed, i.e.: soap, paper towels, toilet paper, etc.
    • Collects and disposes of trash and garbage.
    • Maintain inventory of housekeeping/custodial supplies and informs supervisor when replenishment is needed.
    • Observes and reports safety violations; actively participates in emergency situations.
    • As directed after proper training - buff and wax floors according to facility floor management program.
    • Assist with loss prevention efforts, including alerting LP staff as soon as possible of customer/employee theft, tag switching, etc. and of any unsafe conditions including slips, trips, and falls.
    • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or facility manager.

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

    Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    LANGUAGE SKILLS:

    Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situation.
