    Support Center - Irving


    The Lead – DevOps (Production Control) is responsible for leading a team of Systems Analysts and Developers that support the Control-M, Service Now, and Team Forge enterprise tools.

    This position will drive and implement technology enabled DevOps solutions as well as provide on-going enhancements and maintenance support of these systems.

    The Lead will work closely with IT Managers to schedule software/infrastructure builds through various stages and environments.

    Dev Ops Project Management
    Collaborate, influence and communicate with business on project/enhancement prioritization and delivery/support status
    Champion improvements of systems to solve problems, improve stability, drive down costs, and apply strategic thinking
    Determine, monitor and review project budgets, schedules and resource requirements
    Ensure projects follow Michaels defined project delivery methodology, architectural standards, processes and policies.
    Accountable for the delivery of projects on time, within budget and with high quality
    Champion and promote benefits of software processes, drives governance, SDLC change management processes
    Develop and foster environment that stimulates innovation and champions' adoption of new technical approaches
    Contribute to Dev Ops Strategy and integrating tools into delivery pipeline
    Drive and develop continual process improvements, promoting best practice standards, and recommending scalable DevOps solutions
    Ensure associated roles and team capabilities are optimally aligned to meet support standards and/or business needs

    Leadership and General Responsibilities
    Provide mentoring, coaching and development for team of Systems Analysts and Developers
    Work with teams to drive automation methodologies to deliver value sooner to the business
    Enhance teams' knowledge of Production Control applications and processes
    Set goals and policies to change behavior and secure desired outcomes
    Encourage individuals to be creative and innovative to meet customer demand
    Partners with manager in decisions for projects, support, and personnel actions

    Minimum Education
    Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or related field of study

    Minimum Special Certifications or technical skills
    ITIL framework knowledge, Dev Ops Methodologies, Knowledge of the software development lifecycle, Agile and Waterfall experience
    Experience in Team Forge application development tools

    Minimum Type of experience the job requires
    5#43; years' progressive work experience in IT and, project work, software development
    1#43; years' experience in software development as a technical lead or equivalent and continuous integration tools

    Preferred Education
    CI/CD experience

    Preferred Special Certifications or technical skills
    Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word and Visio)
    Project Management

    Preferred Type of experience the job requires
    Experience with broad range of core business technologies
    Retail background; knowledge of retail systems
