    Conduct ePMR/HAMR HDD products media process development andthe technology transfer to offshore operation.
    Oversee the integration of the new technologiesto the new product media designs.

    Responsible for ePMR/HAMR products media process capability improvementand optimization by working together with US based process/equipment engineering teams and media factories.

    LeadePMR/HAMR media projectsfor evaluation ofthe media design processrobustness andexplore design tradeoffs; reach decision and meet the product development schedules.
    Interface with process, equipment, HDD teams and Asia counterpart process teams to finalize & optimize product media configurations.

    The Principal Engineer must establish close collaboration with peers and must exercise creativity to enable progress in staging ePMR/HAMR milestone media.

    Ph.

    D., M.S, degree in Physics, Materials Science, Chemistry, ECE or related field.3-5 years of prior experience in disk drive or thin filmsindustry is highly desired.

    The candidate should have a strong research background in Magnetic thin film media, thin film synthesis, magnetic material properties, advanced characterization and knowledge in magnetic recording.

    Experience with statistical data analysis and Design of Experiment (DOE) is required.
    Demonstrated innovation abilities, good written, verbal, interpersonal communication and teamwork skills.
