The Position:
Under the guidance of the ILS Program Manager, you will nurture and teach practical life skills to adults with disabilities in line with their personalized support plan to aid in their growth towards independence and to have content, healthy lives in their chosen environment. Advocacy, basic cooking, household management, attending medical appointments, utilizing community resources, and arranging transportation are some of the tasks you may engage in with your clients.
This role oversees their caseload while supporting and collaborating with the individuals under their care. We collaborate with clients to assist them in reaching their objectives. This takes place in the clients' homes and/or within the community. The role also involves transporting the individuals to run errands, medical appointments, and community activities.
ILS Coaches are also tasked with daily service notes and preparing quarterly progress reports for their assigned individuals.
Preferred Life Coach Characteristics:
We offer training for individuals with little experience in this industry if your demeanor aligns with the people we serve.
Successful completion of a DOJ background check/Live-Scan is required.
Desired Education / Experience:
Dependable and safe transportation, a valid DL, car insurance, and current car registration are essential, as the majority of your day will be spent in the field working with clients. The remaining time will involve administrative tasks such as writing reports, documentation, emails, etc. Must be willing to drive within a 20-30 mile radius to meet with assigned clients.
