    Property Management/Real Estate Accountant
    Location: Boca Raton
    Base Salary: $60k to $80k will depend on experience with bonus

    Benefits: Medical and dental coverage Education: BA/BS in Accounting is required. CPA is preferred but not required.

    A minimum of 5 years experience in the real estate management industry with the ability to demonstrate ability in the following:
    • Review commercial leases.
    • Account for triple net (NNN) lease contracts.
    • Manage the preparation of annual recovery billings.
    • Manage month-end close process.
    • Prepare financial statements, budgets, cash flow forecasts, and other analytical reports on as needed basis.

    Systems: Familiarity with any commercial leasing software is a plus. Familiarity with Yardi commercial leasing software is a strong plus.

    Skills: We are looking for a candidate who can show, based on prior experience, that he or she, possesses the following skills:
    • Solid general accounting skills.
    • Month-end close processes.
    • Designing and monitoring internal controls.
    • Financial reporting.
    • AR and AP Management.
    • Cash flow management including preparation of cash flow forecasts.
    • Familiarity with collection processes.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

    Responsibilities. The position will be responsible for the overall management of the following functions:
    • All finance and accounting operations.
    • Preparing budgets, and financial forecasts, and report variances.
    • Preparing monthly financial statements for individual properties as well as the entire portfolio.
    • Overseeing billing/monthly rent-up process.
    • Managing all accounting operations including), A/R, collections, and A/P.
    • Coordinating with senior management and outside accounting firms in the preparation of annual tax returns.
    • Maintaining loan schedules on outstanding property loans.
    • Managing preparation of CAM recovery billings.
    • Managing/coordinating collection process with collection agencies and outside attorneys.
    • Reviewing and periodically updating internal control procedures to maintain and improve operational efficiencies to support portfolio growth targets.
