    Job Summary:
    We are seeking a skilled and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Interventional Radiology (IR) / Neurology team. In this role, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing interventional radiology procedures related to neurology conditions. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in interventional radiology or neurology nursing, strong clinical skills, and a commitment to delivering patient-centered care in a procedural setting.

    Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate with physicians, radiologists, and other members of the healthcare team to provide comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing interventional radiology procedures related to neurology conditions.
    • Assess patients' pre-procedure and post-procedure status, including physical, neurological, and psychological factors, to ensure readiness for procedures and monitor recovery afterwards.
    • Administer medications, conscious sedation, and other treatments as prescribed by physicians, following established protocols and guidelines for procedural sedation and analgesia.
    • Monitor patients' vital signs, neurological status, and response to treatment throughout procedures, communicating with the healthcare team to adjust care plans and interventions as needed.
    • Assist with the setup and maintenance of procedural equipment and supplies, ensuring readiness and sterility for interventional radiology procedures.
    • Provide education and support to patients and families about the procedures, risks, benefits, and post-procedure care, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
    • Document all aspects of patient care accurately and in compliance with regulatory requirements, using electronic medical records systems.
    • Adhere to infection control protocols, safety guidelines, and organizational policies to maintain a safe and supportive environment for patients and staff.
    • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, research projects, and staff education activities to promote excellence in interventional radiology and neurology nursing practice.

    Qualifications:

    • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
    • Minimum of two years of clinical nursing experience, with experience in interventional radiology, neurology, or critical care nursing preferred.
    • Certification in Radiology Nursing (CRN) or Neuroscience Nursing (CNRN) preferred.
    • Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced procedural environment and respond quickly to changing patient needs.
    • Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care to patients and families undergoing interventional radiology procedures.
