    Responsibilities


    • Work in partnership with the registered nurse to support patient care.
    • Monitor patients at timed intervals, document data as directed, and report observations and patient concerns to the registered nurse.
    • Obtain and record patients vital signs accurately.
    • Respond promptly to all call lights.
    • Assist patients with mobility and basic tasks, such as bathing, dressing, eating and other ADLs.
    • Provide basic patient transport.
    • Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly environment for patients and staff.
    • Participate in purposeful hourly rounding and bedside shift report as directed.
    • Perform direct and indirect patient care duties as assigned and may provide clerical support to assigned unit.
    Qualifications

    Job Requirements


    • High school diploma or GED
    • Basic Life Support certification
    • Knowledge of patient assistance and care procedures

    Preferred Job Requirements:

    • One-year of experience in healthcare directly supporting patients
    • Demonstrated proficiency in phlebotomy.
    • Completion of approved CNA, PCT or paramedic certification or currently enrolled in nursing school.
