    Position Overview:
    The successful candidate will be able to unload sows from trucks, move and handle livestock within the barn and pen areas, identify and monitor truck conditions, and track sow loads in SAP


    Responsibilities:
    Proper Humane Animal Handling is critical to this position. A successful candidate will understand that the animals always need to be treated with respect.
    The use of raddle paddles to move animals is required
    Ability to perform responsibilities in a safe and efficient manner Must comply with GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices), USDA regulations and safety rules always Unloading of animal trucks Good verbal communication skills Good decision making and problem-solving skills Detail-oriented Ability to work independently with minimal supervisionEducation: High School Diploma or equivalent preferredExperience: A general understanding of animal behavior required Past Animal Handling experience strongly preferred Excellent attendance and performance record required General computer knowledge preferred SAP knowledge preferred Microsoft applications (Outlook, Excel, Word) experience preferredSkills and Competencies: Good verbal communication skills Good decision making and problem-solving skills Detail-oriented Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Basic Math skills required

    Physical Demands:
    Walking and/or Standing throughout the shift Bending and/or Reaching throughout the shift Must be able to hand grip/lift up to 50 lbs, push 30 lbs, and pull 60 lbs
