Description
Job Title: Medical Physicist at Northwestern Memorial Hospital
The Medical Physicist embodies the mission, vision, and values of Northwestern Memorial, adheres to the organization's Code of Ethics, Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all policies, procedures, guidelines, regulatory, and accreditation standards.
The Medical Physicist will provide clinical services under the supervision of the Director of Medical Physics at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in downtown Chicago, ensuring timely, safe, and accurate patient treatment.
Responsibilities:
Expertise in the majority of listed procedures is desired. Development of new procedures, quality control, dose calculations, patient-specific QA, and ensuring radiation safety policies are adhered to. Involvement in commissioning new equipment, research projects, and teaching programs.
Qualifications:
* Required: Master of Science (MS) or doctoral degree (PhD) in medical physics, CAMPEP equivalency, Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA) license, American Board of Radiology (ABR) certification or equivalent, teaching expertise, and good communication skills.
* Preferred: Excellent knowledge of radiation oncology software, visibility through service or teaching, and clinical productivity.
