    POSITION SUMMARY

    In this role you will be responsible for processing and filling chemicals that are broken down to scalable units. Filling, labeling, and shrinking of custom chemical orders as well as stock chemical items (Paraformaldehyde, Glutaraldehyde, buffers, stains, and fixatives). Receive, label, and safely storing samples and organize and store samples in accordance with all safety and other requirements. Keep laboratory supplies ready by inventory stock, placing orders and verifying receipt. Resolve problems by examining and evaluating data and selecting corrective steps. Comply with all safety, health, and environmental rules and regulations.

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

    • Maintain proper data and logs by following company lot # and expiration procedures.
    • Maintain equipment throughout the day (cleaning of all used beakers + filling apparatus).
    • Assist in the operation of lab equipment (ampoule filler / sealer, ampoule printer, and shrinking machines).
    • Follows all safety guidelines with the use of company supplied PPE.
    • Hours are 8:00am to 4:30pm with department overtime available at discretion of manager.
    • Weekly out of department overtime opportunities.

    SKILLS AND ABILITIES

    • Attention to detail, a team player, and willingness to learn.
    • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
    • Capable of gathering supplies in different locations.
    • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and capable of multitasking.

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

    • High School diploma or GED certificate.

    PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

    • Experience handling chemicals safely in an exposed environment.
