    $98,000 - $ $130,000US Citizenship RequiredThis opportunity is being offered by National Aerospace Solutions, LLC, the team selected by the U.S. Air Forces Arnold Engineering Development Complex (AEDC) via the Test Operations and Sustainment (TOS) contract. National Aerospace Solutions is a limited liability company comprised of Bechtel National Inc. (as lead company) and Sierra Lobo Inc. with teaming Subcontractors nLogic Inc. and Chugach Federal Solutions Inc. AEDCs mission is to conduct developmental test and evaluation for the Nation through modeling, simulation, ground test and flight test. Execution of the mission requires a large team of highly qualified and dedicated professionals from multiple technical disciplines to effectively accomplish the objectives of our test customers.

    The NFAC team performs large-scale, subsonic wind tunnel testing furthering research and development for a broad array of test customers across the academic, scientific, commercial, and military aerospace sectors.

    Testing supports development of new and innovative helicopter and rotorcraft technologies including future Urban Air Mobility applications, recurring Mars lander parachute qualification testing, improvements to fuel efficiency on full-scale tractor-trailer trucks, advanced fixed-wing aircraft applications (some with live jet engines), and many other exciting applications for the military and commercial sectors.


    Job Summary:
    Perform the role of Reliability Engineer evaluating, selecting, and applying standard engineering methods, techniques, procedures, and criteria to support wind tunnel testing, facility operations and maintenance at the National FullScale Aerodynamics Complex (NFAC)

    Job Duties:
    Responsible for the continued development, optimization, and implementation of NFACs Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) programCoordinates onsite maintenance efforts utilizing Computerized Maintenance Management Software ( CCMS)

    Collaborate closely with facility engineers to review and improve PM work instructions based on RCM principles and best practicesImplement innovative, non-invasive, cost-effective predictive maintenance (PdM) strategies and solutions to facilitate a pro-active shift of NFAC maintenance toward Condition Based MaintenanceApply FMEA principles to discern root causes of failure and create mitigation processes that are effective and cost efficientConduct training on RCM best practices and provide guidance for tactical execution of predictive maintenance technologies as appropriate, including but not limited to:

    vibration analysis, infrared thermography, lube oil analysis, motor circuit analysis, ultrasonic testing, parts or component quality testing, power quality testing, etc.

    Plan and schedule maintenance efforts around a dynamic research testing scheduleOrganize and oversee site equipment and spares inventoryMaintain the Asset Condition database and work toward integrating asset condition into the asset management strategyPrepare monthly reports detailing maintenance metricsCollaborate with the AHA (Asset Health Assurance) group at Arnold on tools, techniques, and proceduresEvaluate opportunities for facility capability upgrades and support strategic asset planning to maintain or improve current capabilitiesHands-on field work is expected and multidisciplinary experience maintaining facility mechanical (hydraulic and pneumatic power, compressors, pumps, etc.)

    Basic Qualifications:
    Applicable technical degree/diploma/certificate, or Associates degree in a technical discipline and three (3) years of progressive and relevant experience or any equivalent combination of applicable education and progressive and relevant experience totaling five (5) years

    degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering from an accredited engineering program and three (3) to five (5) years of reliability engineering experienceDemonstrated experience using Computerized Maintenance Management Software (CMMS) toolsDemonstrated knowledge and ability to apply design and engineering concepts to provide effective solutions.

    Multidisciplinary experience maintaining facility mechanical (hydraulic and pneumatic power, compressors, pumps, etc.), electrical (motors, generators), and control systems (PLC, instrumentation) is highly desirable.

    Excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills are essential.

    Certifications in the field of Condition Based MaintenanceCertified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) certificationDue to Air Force Security requirements, U.S.
