Position Summary
The University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, Department of Psychiatry, Center for Excellence in Mental Health invites applications for a full-time, fixed-term clinical instructor.
The successful candidate will join UNC Encompass as an individual therapist on a multi-disciplinary team of an IPS/SEES counselor, peer support specialist, CMA, administrative assistant, individual therapist, family therapist and psychiatrist.
UNC Encompass uses a coordinated specialty care model to treat those, aged 15-30, who are experiencing a first episode of psychosis (FEP).
The physical location of the position is in Raleigh, NC.
UNC Encompass is a developing program whose members work closely together so the candidate should have a growth mindset, be flexible, adaptable, and motivated to serve families in a recovery-based model.
The successful candidate will have strong rapport-building and engagement skills, successful experiences as both an independent and collaborative multidisciplinary team member, well versed in therapy modalities.
Clinical responsibilities will primarily include screening, assessment, provisional diagnosis, assertive outreach and engagement, individual therapy, case management and psychoeducation.A second responsibility of the individual therapist will be general administration duties to include; participation in weekly data collection, assistance with referrals, maintenance of tracking databases, supporting the development and facilitation of community outreach and education and tasks that may not fall in a traditional individual therapist role but support the overall function of the UNC Encompass mission.
Minimum Education and Experience RequirementsLCSW is preferred. LCMHC will be considered.
