    Medical Director - An award winning nationally accredited non-profit leader in the prevention, treatment, and recovery of mental health and substance use disorders is seeking an Inpatient Medical Director who is board certified in Internal Medicine|Family Medicine or by the American Board of Psychiatry.

    The Inpatient Medical Director oversees all medical care and direct the activities and functions of the inpatient medical staff.

    Supervises and monitors staff physicians and the Director of Nursing and work with them to insure the delivery of quality care.

    Develops and implements clinical policies, procedures and protocols relative to medical issues affecting addiction treatment.

    Educates the medical and clinical staff via case reviews, quality improvement reviews and in-service meetings. Provides direct clinical services in accordance with approved clinical privileges, including off hour's coverage when necessary. Interacts with managed care organizations and other health professionals to maximize the delivery of quality care. Participates on the Clinical Care Committee and other committees as needed.

    The Medical Director shall have an understanding and working knowledge of current addiction clinical concepts and practices.

    The ability to work with and support a multidisciplinary treatment team in the areas of medical needs, infection control and overall patient care.

    A demonstrated ability to coordinate addiction medical services for patients across a continuum of clinical care.
