    The IEEE Power & Energy (PES) is currently seeking a summer social media marketing intern for a temporary position to support the IEEE PES marketing department's new social media initiative in relaunching PES's Instagram account to further engage our current and potential society members. Under the guidance of the Marketing Project Manager, this role will be dedicated to researching, identifying, developing, and effectively deploying a marketing plan in alignment with PES's branding and promotional goals for the strongest engagement and conversion.

    The ideal candidate will be a curious self-starter with working knowledge of and applicable experience in key social media marketing attributes, notably a strong creative aesthetic eye, data analysis, copywriting, and content graphic creation. A student pursuing a degree in marketing, communications, public relations, and/or engineering who is detail-oriented with excellent written and verbal skills is preferred.

    Qualifications
    • Must be an accredited college or university student pursing or recently graduated with a degree in marketing, communications, public relations, and/or engineering
    • Detailed Oriented with excellent interpersonal, customer service and communication (Oral & Written) skills
    • Working knowledge of and applicable experience in key social media marketing attributes, notably a strong creative aesthetic eye, data analysis, copywriting, and content graphic creation
    • Must be an independent, self starter
    • Must have a proven strong academic performance
    • Proven strong project management skills
    • Technically savvy - strong knowledge of standard software applications including MS Office, Google, Email, Google Chrome and Windows and posses the skills to quickly learn various software programs and databases.
    • Flexibility to adapt to frequent change
