    Description

    Quality Control Chemist

    Description:

    • Perform testing and evaluations of raw material, bulk, and finished products in accordance to written procedures.
    • Ensures current standard operating and test procedures are utilized.
    • Documentation records are accurate and in compliance with GMP requirements.
    • Develops and maintains understanding of various testing methodologies, including appropriate techniques and potential errors.
    • Ensures product quality specifications and customer standards are met and maintained to the Customers' satisfaction.
    • Performs batch adjustments as needed in batch making procedures.
    • Trouble-shooting out of specification (OOS) situations.
    • Ensures current reference and product standards are properly maintained.
    • Updates test procedures and specifications as needed.

    Skills & Qualifications:

    • 4 year degree in chemistry, biology or related science discipline and/or equivalent experience is needed.
    • 0-2 years GMP lab experience; prefer a minimum of 6 months experience in a Chemistry lab environment such as pharmaceutical, cosmetics, personal care, food processing, etc.
    • This position will use a pH meter, Brookfield spindle viscometer, analytical balances. It also requires visual and odor inspections daily.
