    The Benefits Analyst plays a crucial role in the analysis, management, and optimization of benefits programs within a hospitality organization.

    Their responsibilities include conducting data analysis to assess the effectiveness of the programs, ensuring operational and data integrity through audits, and managing compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

    The role also involves administering benefit programs, coordinating vendor relationships, and supporting employee inquiries.

    The ideal candidate for the job should possess strong analytical skills, proficiency in data analysis tools, and experience in benefits administration.


    Analytics & Reporting:
    Analyze benefits data to assess the effectiveness of benefits programs and provide insights for decision-making.

    Perform periodic audits of HRIS records to ensure accuracy of employee contributions, eligibility, participation, calculations, and data interfaces to vendors.

    Manage and update benefit program metrics and dashboards.
    Operations & Administration
    Responsible for all eligibility files review and manual intervention if needed.

    Utilize insights from employee support cases and industry best practices to develop new benefits portal content to drive increased employee self-service.

    Coordinate the distribution of annual and ad-hoc required disclosures and communications.
    Manage eligibility for retirement plans, employee & employer contributions, loans, and distributions to ensure plan operations are compliant. Work closely with recordkeeper on contribution reconciliation and prepare documents for funding.
    Resolve retirement benefits operational issues resulting from incomplete or inaccurate employee data records.
    Compliance & Risk Management
    Prepare submissions for various federal, state, and local compliance reporting such as 5500s, ACA, Massachusetts 1099HC form, etc.
    Complete the 401(k)annual compliance testing (414(s), ACP, ADP) and Annual Match True up.

    Assist with data collection and interface with auditors to provide support for annual plan audit, form 5500 preparation, and annual disclosure reporting requirements.

    Program & Vendor Administrative Support
    Vendor administration support includes invoice administration, rebill services, resolving service and operational issues, etc.


    Requirements:
    Minimum of 3 years of experience in retirement plan administration and analysis with progressive responsibility required.
    1-3 years of experience in Health & Welfare plans administration.
    A bachelors degree in accounting or a related field is highly preferred.
    Experience with ADP or other HCM desired.
    Experience with Fidelity or other recordkeeper desired.
    Strong analytical skills.
    Experience with data analytics and reporting with solid proficiency in data analysis tools, including Microsoft Excel.
    Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong problem-solving capabilities.
