Job Summary

We are seeking motivated legal writers to fight on behalf of injured and exploited international workers who suffer from psychological and physical injuries after working in active war zones. Full time and part-time internships available depending on your schedule

Responsibilities

Review and summarize evidence in Defense Base Act cases set for written trials (Trial by Submission of Evidence/Case Legal Briefs);
Research and synthesize statutes and relevant case law for each case set for written trial before the Department of Labor;
Compile and prepare Case Legal Briefs and written arguments to be submitted before the Department of Labor; and
Attend virtual depositions.

Job Qualifications

1L, 2L, or 3L in an ABA accredited law school;
Superb research and legal writing skills;
Strong computer skills and proficiency in use of Westlaw/Lexis and other online legal search tools;
Demonstrated interest in federal law, international law, civil litigation, and helping exploited workers;
Ability to work remotely;
Strong organizational skills and detail-oriented; and
Completion of legal writing, civil procedure, and evidence courses preferred, not required.
