    Overview

    Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking a Sr. Bridge Engineer to join the Bridge and Structures team in Miami, FL.

    The selected candidate will work in the Bridges & Structures group of the Infrastructure Division on various projects including new or rehabilitated highway, rail and pedestrian bridges and culverts, retaining walls and temporary structures for contractors.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead technical design and assigned staff on bridge projects
    • Develop work plans for various bridge designs
    • Coordinate with other interfacing disciplines
    • Perform calculations, computer modeling, design and drawing reviews
    • Cost estimating, develop specifications/construction documents and lead construction phase support tasks
    • Mentor and develop design staff
    • Participate in internal standards of practices development and updates
    • Quality control and assurance checks on design computations, computer modeling, CAD drawings, reports, estimates and specifications
    • Serve as a point of contact for clients, other design professionals, and contractors
    • Act as quality coordinator for discipline led projects
    • Develop technical narratives, scope and fee for project pursuits

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Master's a plus
    • 7+ years of professional design engineering work related to bridges or structures
    • P.E. license required in Florida or ability to obtain one
    • Proficiency with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD Civil3D a plus
    • Ability to work independently
    • Strong work ethic and willingness for continued learning
    • Knowledge of FDOT, AASHTO and AREMA design codes a plus
    • Ability to read, write and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions
