    Day to Day:

    One of our top government clients that has been recognized as a top performer in the development approval process, ranking ninth in the nation and first in the state is looking to bring on an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to their development team.


    Under general direction of the Plan Review Manager:

    they will - coordinate and participate in the conduct of complex engineering projects, including research and review for a variety of public works and water and wastewater utility capital improvements; performs case reviews for new developments to ensure compliance to City master plans, standards, and coordination with City capital improvement projects; assists with level-loading, work assignment, and coordinates the work of professional and technical staff; coordinates and administers contracts for professional services; and performs related work as assigned.

    Minimum of 5 years of experience in Civil Engineering

    Previous experience working for City or Government Entity

    Valid Driver's License.

    Registration/Certification as a Professional Civil Engineer

    Master's degree-level of study or appropriate certification, Professional Engineer, Law Degree, Certified Public Accountant.

    Ability to perform math calculations such as advanced level algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and calculus.

    Previous experience writing and reviewing general correspondence, memorandums, handouts, letters, and technical engineering reports.

    Previous expereince as a lead worker performing essentially the same work as those directed, and includes overseeing work quality, training, instructing, and scheduling work.

    Ability to make independent judgment and decision-making abilities aligning with government policies and regulations

    Strong interpersonal and Human relations skills

    Experience reading, reviewing, and creating reports

    Ability to read state statutes, federal laws, technical reports and manuals, research papers, construction plans and specifications, correspondence, legal documents, ordinances, and property legal descriptions at a college level.
