    Job Summary:

    Collaborate with Program Management, Operations and Engineering to maintain and improve processes and support for developing new products and expanding upon existing product lines.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Working with Engineering, Quality, and Operations to create stable and sustained processes for the manufacture of quality products.
    • Troubleshoot existing processes to maintain or improve quality parts. Evaluates process capability and develop solutions for improving process control.
    • Work closely with supervisors and operators to improve product flow, improve quality, and reduce scrap.
    • Review new projects to determine effectiveness of design regarding moldability, tool concept, and material required.
    • Consults with customer's technical personnel regarding current and upcoming projects or concepts.
    • Conducts a search of new materials, processes and procedures necessary to enhance and improve both manufacturing processes and products.
    • Assists manufacturing department in development of processes and ISO documentation necessary for production.
    • Develop and implement strategies to continuously improve manufacturing efficiency by reducing cycle times, improved processes and machine uptime, and oversee capital investment in the manufacturing area
    • Lead and support ERP and process monitoring processes and software including ISO documentation and cross-functional team participation
    • Performs product/process analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement, and improved efficiency and makes recommendations.

    Education, Skills and Experience:

    • Bachelors degree in Engineering or equivalent in education and experience.
    • Minimum 5 years experience in optics or related industry
    • Sound knowledge of engineering theory and design criteria
    • ISO experience a plus.
