    Position Introduction/Key Duties

    Cimarron is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to support the Missile Defense Agency's System Integration, Test and Readiness (SITR) contract in Huntsville, AL. SITR is responsible for the overall Ground-based Midcourse Defense (GMD) Element engineering and integration, including physical and logical integration of the GMD Element and Components with the Missile Defense System. Cimarron's team members will be instrumental in ensuring the GMD Element of the Missile Defense System continues to provide safe, reliable and responsive capability to defend the U.S. homeland.     Key Duties:

    • Assist in lab build-up and execution of GMD Lab integration for the upgrades, both hardware and software, for all of the GMD elements.
    • Support the customer and execute critical testing in different lab environments.
    • Complete planning and execution of all necessary testing to verify overall GMD weapon system performance requirements and compliance.
    • Support the development, delivery, and maintenance of the GMD Engineering Development and Early Integration Lab Test Plans and Procedures in the Integrated Digital Data Environment (IDDE).
    • Execute testing, reporting, and data management of results within the lab.
    • Develop, deliver, integrate, operate, maintain, and sustain Lab support equipment.
    • Manage the configuration of the lab (ex. Cisco routers, Nexus switches, MS Server
    • Utilize basic engineering troubleshooting skills and configuration management best practices.
    • Develop, review, and release post-test documentation.
    Required/Desired Skills, Experience, and Education

    Required Skills, Experience, and Education:
    • Due to facility security requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for consideration at this time.
    • Active Secret clearance.
    • 8 or more years of experience.
    • In-depth experience working in a RedHat Linux environment.
    • Understanding of RMF requirements, networking, and containerizing Blade servers (ex. HPE Synergy).
    • Experience working in a lab environment.
    • Experience with network configuration.
    • Experience integrating multiple complex components into a system-level architecture.
    • Experience documenting and troubleshooting hardware and software anomalies in a fast-paced environment.
    • Experience collaborating with customers to understand test requirements and test objectives.
    • Experience supporting a missile or weapons program.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Bachelor of Science from an accredited school in a technical discipline (Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry).
    Desired Skills, Experience, and Education:
    • Has CCNA, CCIE, and/or Linux+ certifications.
    • Experience developing test procedures for critical software and hardware testing.
    • Experience with one or more elements of the Missile Defense System.
    • Experience supporting the GMD program as a Systems Engineer or Test Engineer.
    • Experience in a lab environment writing/executing test plans and procedures, requirements management, validation, and verification.
    • Experience supporting government contracts.
    • Experience with "System of Systems" integration.
    • Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to review performance, identify root causes, and recommend solutions.
    • Knowledge of the Agile software development process.
    • Active Top Secret Clearance.
