    Summary
    The Vice President, Indigenous Leadership Program is in charge of developing and maintaining Ecotrust's relationships with Native American and First Nation leaders and their communities along the coastal Pacific bioregion from Alaska to California. This role involves creating long-term and annual plans, securing funds, managing Ecotrust's Award for Indigenous Leadership, and coordinating Ecotrust's support for the expanding network of awardees. Additionally, this individual collaborates with Ecotrust's senior management team to devise innovative programs aimed at enhancing social, economic, and environmental conditions in the bioregion. The Ecotrust Award for Indigenous Leadership has honored 39 tribal leaders over the past eight years, with plans to expand the network to include 100 exceptional leaders by 2020.

    Key Objectives
    The key responsibilities of this position include organizing and overseeing the Ecotrust Award for Indigenous Leadership, raising additional funds to boost the award endowment, securing grants for native program initiatives, and facilitating communication and collaboration between indigenous leaders and Ecotrust programs. The Vice President is expected to actively engage with leaders, media, and communities to promote program initiatives and address critical issues affecting indigenous communities.

    Requirements
    The ideal candidate should possess excellent listening skills, the ability to build strong relationships with native leaders locally and globally, effective communication capabilities, a passion for social justice and environmental conservation, extensive experience working in native communities, self-motivation, a results-driven mindset, and managerial experience with a focus on hiring, supervising, budgeting, fundraising, and communication.
