Job summary

We are looking for Senior Enterprise Architect - Remote / Telecommute for our client in Edmonton, AB. Quickly learn and adopt new technologies relevant to cloud and virtual desktop environments. Research industry trends and new capabilities for Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) and related cloud services.

Responsibilities

  • Quickly learn and adopt new technologies relevant to cloud and virtual desktop environments.
  • Research industry trends and new capabilities for Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) and related cloud services.
  • Develop and maintain documentation including audits, standard operating procedures, change management, and knowledge articles.
  • Evaluate risk and implement controls to meet compliance requirements such as Statement of Sensitivity (SOS) and Security Threat Risk Assessment (STRA).
  • Provide technical support and analysis for various projects to ensure high-quality solution implementation.
  • Contribute to the development of team technical skills through cross-training, formal training, and stretch assignments aligned with IT strategic goals.

Qualifications

  • University degree in Computer Science (CS), Information Technology (IT), Engineering (ENG), Management Information Systems (MIS), or related discipline with 6+ years of progressive experience; or
  • 2-year diploma in CS, IT, ENG, MIS or related discipline with 8+ years of progressive experience; or
  • 1-year certificate in CS, IT, ENG, MIS or related discipline with 9+ years of progressive experience; or
  • 10+ years of progressive related experience.
  • Experience developing on cloud platforms and utilizing cloud services in development and solutions 3 years.
  • Experience defining technical architecture, building technical environments, supporting software development processes, software configuration, and database management 5 years.
  • Experience gathering requirements from diverse stakeholders across ministries or departments 5 years.
  • Experience across multiple architecture domains (business, application, technology, data/information, security, privacy) 3 years.
  • Experience with process improvement, documentation, and requirement gathering 5 years.
  • Experience triaging technical issues and troubleshooting 3 years.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including drafting strategic business and technical documentation 5 years.
