    Position Summary


    The American Chemical Society is seeking a Marketing Automation Technology Expert to support the increased efforts to administer the Society's Eloqua instance, as a result of the migration of C&EN and Expo Sales marketing.

    Here's what you will be doing:

    Manage the ongoing day-to-day operation, configuration, administration, and optimization of the Marketing Automation platform (Eloqua).

    Employ knowledge to update and manage technical aspects of the marketing automation platform, including contact programs and processing rules.

    Maintain data integration processes, hygiene, segmentation, and list management for the marketing team.

    Automate key processes and campaigns to maximize ROI from marketing operations, including user journey management and lead scoring.


    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure integration between Oracle Eloqua and other systems, including but not limited to CRM, analytics, and event tech.

    Gather business requirements, project manage, and support the implementation of new integrations.

    Document processes and technology workflows. Make recommendations to improve business processes, tools, and performance.

    Train end users on Marketing Automation Platform usage and create training documentation.

    Oversee the setup of marketing assets such as emails, landing pages, and journey logic.


    Desired Skills and Experience:
    Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, IT or a related field.

    Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role with a focus on Marketing Automation.

    Proficiency in Oracle Eloqua is a must.

    Oracle Eloqua Marketing Certified Implementation Professional certificate is a plus.

    Basic coding experience is a must (HTML, CSS, Javascript).

    Strong project management skills with a proven track record of successful project delivery.

    Strong process orientation:

    able to analyze requests, determine scope, research options, recommend a solution, execute in collaboration with IT and/or Digital Platforms teams, and measure project success.

    In-depth knowledge of marketing technology best practices and system integrations.

    High-level written and verbal communication skills.

    Location:

    Position is based in Washington, DC. Remote work will be considered for the right candidate.

    This position will be primarily based in the Washington D.C. office.
    ACS employees work a hybrid work schedule, consisting of working onsite, three days per week.

    ACS employees are in the office on Tuesday and Wednesday with the third in-office day scheduled in consultation with the manager.

    While always welcome to work in the office, employees may work the other two days of the week from a location of their choice.

    New employees are immediately eligible for this hybrid work arrangement. ACS offers relocation assistance, if applicable.
