    Good Shepherd School for Children

    is seeking a Director of Finance. Approx. 30 hours/week. No direct reports, part of small, tight-knit mgmt. team.

    Under the direct supervision of the President, the Director of Finance handles the day-to-day operations related to tuition, accounts payable and receivables, therapy payables and receivables, payroll, human resource issues, and technology needs.

    Prepares for and executes the annual financial audit and 990; performs budget and forecasting; AP and AR management; grant support.

    The Director of Finance also works closely with board of directors and external auditors.

    Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities


    • Bachelor degree in finance, accounting or business administration
    • Minimum of five years' experience working in a similar position.
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
    • Working knowledge of QuickBooks or similar system.
    • Ability to work, collaboratively, with the diverse skills of the administrative team, parents, therapists and teaching team members.
    • Ability to effectively communicate with parents.
    • Self-motivated and able to follow through on job requirements.
    • Excellent organizational skills for multi-task responsibilities.
    • Ability to lift 25 pounds.
    • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and be able to navigate St. Louis metro area.
