Job Description

This position's responsibility will center primarily around the set-up and troubleshoot of injection molding equipment. This position will perform mold changes on injection molding and related machines sets up other secondary equipment and fixtures as well as assists with material handling and occasionally operator responsibilities.

• Follow change over procedures and all other necessary standard work in performing all tasks as assigned
• Safely utilize tools (knives, nippers, etc.) and secondary equipment to produce high quality products and includes knowing how to use Personal Protection Equipment, proper lifting techniques.
• Performs mold changes safely and efficiently
• Understands core logic/sequence
• Knows why and how to inspect platen holes, bolts, cranes, and chains
• Has the ability to hook up water, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic lines and verify all auxiliary equipment is functioning as intended
• Has the ability to make repairs to auxiliary lines including replacing lines, replacing O-rings, and replacing fittings
• Has the ability to setup an injection molding machines
• Communicates effectively including shift change overs, walkthroughs, and mold changes
• Understands and utilizes Lock Out/Tag Out procedure
• Understanding and completion of TPMs - Daily or Weekly as required
• Understands and can identify the basic components of a mold
• Has the ability to fill out service requests
• Can effectively shut down all presses in plant to perform a mold change
• Run presses as needed and instructed by supervisor

· Shift Hours 4:00am to 2:30pm
