A mental health organization is seeking a Adult Psychiatrist to join their Outpatient team in Utica.

In this role, the Adult Psychiatrist will be responsible for providing services that include a comprehensive program of evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation for patients over 21, whose primary diagnosis is a psychiatric disorder.

Responsibilities:

The Adult Psychiatrist will:
Admit and discharge patients, including psychiatric examination, evaluation and assessmentFacilitate group/family education and therapyOrder suicide precautionsProvide treatment of children and adolescents including individual, supportive, behavioral, cognitive and insight oriented therapyOrder laboratory tests or diagnostic assessments, including consultation with medical specialty providersPerform first aid and medical triage, including initial physical examination on new admissions in the event a pediatrician is not on sitePerform other duties, as needed Qualifications :Board-certified Adult Psychiatrist by the American Board of Psychiatry and NeurologyValid license to practice medicine in New York StateValid National Provider Identification Number (NPI)Valid Federal Narcotics Number (DEA Number)Enrolled in CMS and remain an unconditional participating provider in the Medicare and Medicaid OPRA programsMust enroll in NYS Medicaid as a Billing Provider or an Ordering, Referring and Attending PrescriberMust enroll in NYS Internet System for Tracking Over-Prescribing/Prescription Monitoring Program (I-STOP/PMP)#J-18808-Ljbffr
