    Description

    Compensation: $80,000 - $105,000 Per Year + PAID Relocation

    The Senior Cost Analyst will have a significant impact on operational rate development, cost analysis and planning, month-end reporting, and inventory transactions at the local production facility. This role serves as the finance and accounting leader for the site, aiding in decision-making processes and overseeing month-end close activities. Moreover, the position involves enhancing processes and project-based assignments.

    Responsibilities:

    • Act as the main source for financial information and analysis at the facility.
    • Monitor inventory batches, address differences, and ensure proper accounting treatment during the manufacturing process.
    • Participate in annual planning for variable and fixed costs, including department expense budgets.
    • Support month-end closing procedures.
    • Manage the annual physical inventory count and back the cycle count program.
    • Collaborate with plant finance teams to comprehend cost differences and strive to minimize overall expenses.
    • Produce and examine monthly financial reports and analyses with operational teams.
    • Team up with operations to monitor and report on initiatives aimed at reducing costs.
    • Evaluate ROI and financial impacts for capital projects and significant maintenance tasks.
    • Regularly assess labor and overhead rates.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (mandatory)
    • Minimum of 3 years of accounting/cost experience in a manufacturing environment (mandatory)
    • Familiarity with inventory transactions (mandatory)
    • Accounting experience in a multi-location, mid-size to large company.
    • Background in process manufacturing
    • Knowledge of ERP systems in a manufacturing setting (experience with Oracle is advantageous).
    • SQL proficiency
    • Prior involvement in project management
    • Independent with the ability to lead and communicate across various functions and organizational levels.
    • Aptitude to simplify finance and accounting concepts for non-financial managers.
    • Readiness to accept and steer change.
    • Attentive to detail, highly organized, and adept at handling multiple tasks with minimal oversight.
    • Understanding of inventory reserves.
    • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities.
