Job Description: Light fixture assembly position to produce high-quality custom light fixtures primarily for commercial markets

Reports to: Shop Manager

Production Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Apply and implement detailed work order instructions for production of custom light fixtures for commercial markets
• Complete accurate time logs to ensure efficiency in meeting project deadlines
• Detail-oriented: able to build assemblies and sub-assemblies of commercial light fixtures to precise specification
• Creative problem solver: able to define and implement solutions to unanticipated challenges within the workflow in order to complete required tasks and meet deadlines
• Ensure consistent quality by testing final assemblies for electrical continuity, as well as form, function, and design aesthetics
• Complete detailed finishing, refinishing, and painting of fixtures to specification, primarily in refurbishing and restoration projects
• Assist with product inventory control while keeping accurate logs
• Participate and contribute to internal team production meetings for design feedback and manufacturing processes
• Maintain a clean work environment and follow health and safety protocols

Required Competencies and Qualifications:

• High school diploma/GED required
• Self-starter and leader who meets deadlines
• Strong desire to create high-quality assemblies
• Strong organizational skills with close attention to detail
• Multi-tasking skills in a job shop environment
• Team player with positive, can-do energy
• Ability to lift 50+lbs.
• Ability to work standing for extended periods of time

Preferred Competencies and Qualifications

• Proficient in reading electrical blueprints and CAD drawings
• Experience in a production or manufacturing environment
• Working knowledge of UL standards
• Strong commitment to ongoing learning

Job Type: Full-time

Wage: $ $22.00 per hour

• Paid time off

• 7.0-hour work shift with .5 hour paid lunch
