    As we gear up for the highly anticipated Spring 2024 opening of Athens, Georgia's first luxury, boutique hotel, Rivet House, we are seeking dedicated and experienced team members to add to our growing team and ensure the success of this unique property. The hotel will have 50 luxurious guest rooms, an upscale Italian restaurant and bar, a coffee bar and retail shop, and a 2800 square foot health and beauty spa.

    THE ROLE...

    Order and precision of all things food is what you live for. As a PM Prep Cook, you enjoy the behind-the-scenes of culinary art and ensuring success for the rest of the kitchen staff.

    What we will ask of you:
    • Refer to Daily Prep List for each shift and complete opening and closing checklists and promptly report equipment, food quality problems, or product shortages to Chef
    • Prepares and portions a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, and other food items for cooking in broilers, ovens, grills, fryers and a variety of other kitchen equipment
    • Understands and complies consistently with our standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies, and procedures.
    • Maintains a clean and sanitary workstation area including tables, shelves, grills, broilers, fryers, pasta cookers, saut burners, convection oven flat top range, refrigeration equipment, and adhere to all DHEC regulations for cleanliness and sanitation
    Requirements

    Requirements for Success:
    • A minimum of one year of experience in kitchen preparation and cooking
    • A flexible schedule to work afternoons, nights, weekends and holidays required
    • Have a positive energy, be ready to assist fellow support staff and work as a team player
    • Must be able to speak, read and understand basic cooking directions
    • Ability to communicate effectively with managers, employees, and all guests
    • Constant standing/walking with occasional stooping, kneeling, pushing, pulling, or lifting
