    Description
    IT Supervisor

    Team lead for Desktop and Systems Support Technician (DSST) and is responsible supervising and providing customer service at his/her facilities; this includes maximizing performance, security, and up-time of each desktop, server and network

    Performance Expectations

    Monitor assignments from the Service Now Requests and help where needed to meet timelines and SLA's.
    Act as the "face of IT" at his/her facilities working alongside IT staff
    Inform Corporate IT management of any issue that requires their involvement such as non-standards purchase, new enterprise\shop floor system requests and any requests to perform tasks outside of this job description
    Enforce corporate standards, GOS IT Policy, and Procedures at his/her facilities.
    Coach and monitor staff these on these standards, policies and procedures.
    Supervise and purchase software and hardware for his/her facilities according to standards and IT purchasing procedures
    Coordinate with IT staff, Director, and accounting manager with yearly budget and monthly spend.
    Ensure his/her facility of responsibility is fully licensed for all software and maintain the information in the licensing database.
    Supervise and maintain all security initiatives from corporate IT
    Supervise and maintain an up-to-date Hardware and Software inventory for his/her facilities.

    Continually work with team to look for ways to automate manual processes at your facility and sharing these ideas with your group and Linamar wide.

    Work with facilities to interview, hire, and on-board new IT staff.
    Share knowledge and experience with the other facilities in your area. Help with projects and show leadership with peers.

    Supervise and support unique systems at his\her facilities such as local MRP/ERP, PM system, Time and Attendance System, QA equipment, and other unique software or hardware.

    Supervise, monitor, and audit backup of local systems according to IT Policy and Procedure
    Supervise, maintain and monitoring servers located at the facility; includes applying service packs, updates etc. according to IT Policy and Procedure
    Supervise and administration of local phone system (including paging, voice mail, moves-adds-changes) at his/her facilities
    Supervise and work on projects from Corporate IT management following the documented IT project procedures

    • Degree or diploma in Computer Science from a recognized university or college is preferred.
