    Description

    We are seeking a Lead Antibody Production Manager to join our client's team at their site in Spring House, PA as a direct full-time employee on the Expression Sciences team within the R&D Therapeutics Discovery organization.

    This Manager will be responsible for leading and mentoring a team of Scientists who express candidate biotherapeutic molecules in stable mammalian cell culture systems. The successful candidate will have expertise in protein expression, molecular biology, and biochemistry, as well as experience with people management.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead and mentor a team of Scientists to express complicated proteins and engineer mammalian cells.
    • Interpret complex datasets to identify and mitigate risks in the discovery process.
    • Identify innovative protein production capabilities and emerging technologies, and lead creative research efforts to push efficiencies and maintain organizational competitiveness.
    • Collaborate across global functions to discover innovative medicines and communicate regularly with department leadership and senior management.
    • Prepare and present reports, proposals, and primary data to stakeholders.

    Requirements:

    • Ph.D. in molecular biology, biochemistry, cell biology, or similar field with 4+ years of industry experience.
    • Proven experience with people management and recombinant protein expression expertise.
    • Molecular biology expertise including cloning approaches, RNA seq, ATAC-seq, ChIP-seq, or CRISPR mutagenesis.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and proficiency with electronic notebooks, databases, and laboratory information management systems.

    Preferred Experience:

    • Practical experience purifying recombinant proteins using Akta systems and analytical methods such as HPLC and CE-SDS.
    • Experience with big data modeling and bioinformatics, and working on multiplexed teams.
