    Description

    Responsibilities Surface Maintenance and Engineering Planning Program (SURFMEPP) provides centralized surface ship life cycle maintenance engineering, and class maintenance planning and management.

    SURFMEPP's primary mission is to maintain and modernize in-service ships throughout the ship's expected service life focusing on a complete, well-engineered, and continuously improving Class Maintenance Plan (CMP).

    SURFMEPP's Work Specification Planner drafts and reviews Class Standard Work Templates (CSWT) in support of the SURFMEPP Master Specification Catalogue (MSC) and assists SURFMEPP Engineers with drafting CSWTs in approved JFMM 4-E format.

    Additional responsibilities include (but are not limited to): * Producing Template Estimates in accordance with MSCMO SOPs and JFMM approved cost estimating guidance.

    * Reviewing SURFMEPP Technical Assistance Requests (STAR) for potential MSC / CSWT improvements and modifications.

    * Work with Standard Specifications for Ship Repair and Alterations Committee (SSRAC) to incorporate NAVSEA Standard Item guidance and changes.

    * Utilize the Navy Maintenance Database (NMD) to draft and publish changes. Required Qualifications

    • Bachelors degree in a related filed. Additional relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a Bachelors.

    • Use of MS Office Suite tools with particular focus on intermediate MS Excel skills
    • Drafting and delivering technical presentations
    • Appropriate written and verbal communication skills to communicate with SES/Flag level personnel

Salary at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, and clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is provided within the posting and are based on full time status. Part time staff receive a prorated salary based on regularly scheduled hours. The estimated minimum and maximum displayed represents the broadest range for this position (inclusive of high geographic and high clearance requirements), and is just one component of Noblis' total compensation package for employees.
