    Assistant Category Procurement Manager for Food Solutions

    Background & Purpose of the Job

    Responsible for driving supplier operational results (service, quality & inventory), innovation readiness and cost savings initiatives.
    Directs the tactical and operational elements of Unilever's supply security, including coordination of associated raw and packaging materials within assigned Business Team. Fully understand the supplier relationship structure, including established linkages between Procurement Operations and internal/external customers.

    Manage the key interfaces related to project execution for all category innovations & renovations. Such as R&D, Engineering, Planning, Brand Development, Finance, Procurement, Global Category Procurement and the external supply base.

    Leader in establishing best practices to drive service metrics (Service, Quality & Inventory) to plants from whole supply. Provide voice and proposed action plans on all potential risks to supply continuity.
    Responsible for modeling capacity, transition management, and managing inventories, with an emphasis on managing working capital and waste reduction across assigned business team, and help manage plans to meet inventory targets in supply chain. Owns the coordination of flawless execution of material flow from supplier base to manufacturing, ensuring high quality in spec materials, on time and in full. Challenge engineering, quality teams & and R&D on conclusions that work against service goals

    Who You Are & What You'll Do

    You're a leader: Leads work on day-to-day material flow to satisfy agreed upon customer expectations regarding on-time and in full orders. Manages material crisis and works with Procurement Team to coordinate resolution and communications with the broader business

    You're a change maker: Listen to your stakeholders needs and provide workable solutions in line with corporate objectives. Drive improvements in service and quality processes with both the supplier and plants.

    You're a culture & change champion: Assist with the collaborative relationship with the suppliers and Procurement Operation Analyst(s) regarding customer contacts, performance metrics, service metrics and objectives, corrective action and problem. Drive improvements in service and quality processes with both the supplier and plants

    You're a dot connector: Strongly link to internal support functions (Buyers, R&D, Engineering, Go-to-Market Planning, Brand, & Contract Admin, etc) to ensure the progressions of material flow, transitions, and inventory management. This role would also have responsibilities in troubleshooting, identifying process efficiencies, and overall material excellence

    You love to win, and have fun doing it: You will drive improvements in service and quality process with both the suppliers and 3PM. You will also assist with cost savings 5S opportunities focus on 3PM.

    What You'll Need To Succeed

    • A minimum of a Bachelor Degree Supply Chain/ Logistic, Business, Sciences, Engineering
    • 2-3 years general business experience in any Supply Chain function (Logistics, Operations, Manufacturing, Supply Management, Planning)
