    Associate - Cost Analyst - US Citizenship Required - Clearance Desired

    Northern, Virginia Conducts quantitative analysis using operations research tools, economics, and other quantitative techniques in the areas of procedural implementations and performance issues.

    Supports the development of investment analysis activities, including market survey, cost analysis, benefits analysis, risk analysis, economic analysis, requirements definition, schedule development, and tradeoff studies.


    Job Requirements:

    Bachelor's Degree (Substitutions:
    One year of education equals 1.5 years of experience. A Master's Degree is equal to 3 years of experience).


    • - 4 years of relevant experience in cost estimation or analysis, with a preference for experience in IT, cyber security, or defense sectors.
    • 1 4 years in government acquisition experience and knowledge of Federal contract requirements, cost estimating, and cost analysis.
    • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in statistical analysis tools and software.
    • Demonstrated skill in creating and maintaining databases and working with spreadsheets and complex models.
    • Familiarity with cost estimation software and IT and defense industries.
    • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
    • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    • A proactive team player with the ability to work independently under tight deadlines.
    • U.S. Citizenship Required.
    • Secret clearance preferred

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Perform cost estimation and analysis for a variety of projects, focusing on IT systems, software, cyber security, and defense systems including vehicles, aircraft, and naval vessels.
    • Support the development of cost estimates. Review cost artifacts. Organize and normalize cost data. Supports cost research and issue paper development.
    • Collaborate with technical teams to gather detailed requirements and specifications for each project.
    • Utilize operations research methodologies to model and analyze costs, identify financial risks, and optimize resource allocation.
    • Apply statistical and economic analysis techniques to predict future costs and evaluate the financial viability of projects.
    • Develop and maintain databases of historical cost data and market trends to inform future estimates.
    • Participate in the preparation of budget proposals and financial forecasts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial guidelines.
    • Work closely with project managers and procurement teams to evaluate bids and quotes, ensuring they align with project budgets and specifications.
    • Present cost analysis reports to management and stakeholders, providing insights and recommendations to guide decision-making.
