Job summary
Digging trenches and backfill holes to prepare for the construction site Operating equipment and heavy machinery used in construction sites Following instructions from construction project managers Loading and unloading building materials Cleaning the construction site by removing hazards, materials and debris from the worksite Manage and direct small crews Assist tradesmen and machine operators in construction projects Use equipment to break old forms and structures Prepare and apply construction materials to build structures or fill gaps Place traffic signals where appropriate Overseeing all activities pertaining to concrete preparation, placement, installation, finishing, and curing Dividing concrete construction projects into different stages evaluating how much labor
and materials are required for each stage Resolving all problems that may affect project quality
and completion Consulting blueprints drawings plans ensuring that concrete structures are accurately placed installed Delegating tasks to concrete laborers providing overall guidance Maintaining accurate records of the number of hours worked number of materials used for each project Ensuring that formwork shoring are erected supported dismantled based on engineering designs drawings Inspecting concrete after formwork shoring has been removed instructing concrete laborers on how
to correct defects concret roughness.
