- Collaborate with subject matter experts, educators, and instructional designers to create engaging and effective computer science curricula aligned with state and national standards.
- Design lesson plans, activities, assessments, and instructional materials that promote computational thinking, problem-solving skills, and a deep understanding of computer science concepts.
- Develop coding exercises, programming projects, and interactive learning experiences that cater to various learning styles and ability levels.
- Ensure that the curricula and instructional materials are inclusive, culturally responsive, and accessible to diverse student populations.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in computer science education.
- Participate in the continuous improvement and updating of existing curricula based on feedback from educators and student performance data.
- Provide training and support to teachers and instructors on the effective implementation of the computer science curricula.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Education, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in curriculum development, instructional design, or teaching computer science at the K-12 level.
- Strong understanding of computer science concepts, programming languages, and computational thinking principles.
- Previous experience writing CS curriculum for high school or advanced middle school
- Expertise in Java, Python or C++
