Full Salary Range:
$ $26.27/hour - depending on education and experience
Anticipated Hiring Range:

Cafeteria Plan:
In addition to the base compensation, benefits-eligible employees receive an extra $5,640 per year to put toward benefit costs or to be used as additional take-home pay

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Department Related Functions/Customer Service:
Represents the Human Resources Department as a first point of contact creating a positive and professional experience via in-person, phone, or electronic communications.
Provides Administrative Support to the Human Resources department by managing employee files and filling systems, generating correspondence, completing forms, distributing mail and other documents, and scheduling and locating rooms for conferences, interviews, meetings, projects, and department appointments.
Provides information and is knowledgeable of departmental policies, procedures, activities and timelines. Notifies supervisor of sensitive or critical issues requiring immediate attention and assists with follow-up.Supports all aspects of the HR functions including recruitment, safety, employee relations, benefits, compensation, support of HR Data entry functions, wellness, employee appreciation, budget, training and development and other areas as needed.
Gathers and compiles data to enter into a variety of systems, databases or spreadsheets. Generates reports as needed.Represents and participates in the following operational committees, such as the Employee Appreciation, Wellness and Staff Council. Manage HR general email inbox. Respond, communicate accordingly and timely. Supports the maintenance of all updates and changes to the Human Resources website and intranet. Main contact to complete employment and income verification requests from employees, outside agencies and finance institutions. Assist with scheduling, event planning and attendance tracking for training activities and entering into banner. Serves as purchasing agent for office supplies and maintains supply storage. Assists with tracking and monitoring of supply expenditures and apprises the supervisor of expenditures.
Responsible for the record retention schedule and initiates purges of documents in accordance with the approved schedule for all HR files (benefits, recruitment, personnel, I-9, etc.).
Demonstrates a continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and works cooperatively to provide quality seamless customer service.
Assists in the training and direction of HR federal work study student/part-time employees by assigning tasks and assisting with any questions.
Performs other duties as assigned.Data Entry/Payroll:
Manages payroll data entry process and communication log in Teams between HR and payroll. Reviews and verifies all payroll related documents and forms for accuracy and completeness. Contacts hiring manager if more information is needed.
Manages and maintains personnel action form tracking by updating the excel spreadsheet and sending reminders to supervisors and finance to complete the signature approval process.
Onboarding/Recruitment:
Manages ASRS new enrollments, contributions made with no enrollments, retiree return to work forms, verifying retirees to activate the ACR, and assist with ending payroll verifications, etc.
Assist with the college's online training system, Safe Colleges, to assign new-hire trainings as appropriate to align with compliance requirements and remove termed employee records.
Ensures new hiring processes are followed for posting positions in the applicant tracking system, NeoEd, and new hire and termination processes are complete.
Assists with temporary part-time staff recruitments, works collaboratively with stakeholders on job descriptions and postings. Assists with new hiring processing as needed.Employee Benefits/Safety:
Assists with the benefit billing process by reconciling one, or more, of the college benefit invoices for payment. Assists employees with benefit questions and enrollment processes. Assists employees and supervisors with workers compensation and safety situations that arise and is able to triage appropriately. Collaborates with Finance to processes Tuition Reimbursement forms. Verifies that grades and receipts are attached and forms are accurate and complete.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of standard office principles and practices to include manual and computerized record maintenance procedures, and clerical processes in a professional and business manner.
Ability to communicate with employees or the public in person, writing or by telephone and to work under pressure; to meet deadlines and time schedules, and to handle significant problems and tasks which come up simultaneously and unexpectedly.
Ability to use Microsoft Office software and to learn and understand educational organizations and processes.Minimum Qualifications
Associates Degree in business or related field and two years of related experience; OR
High School Diploma or equivalent and 4 years of related experience; OR
Bachelor's degree in business or related field and related experience; OR
Any equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job and/or as approved by the Human Resources Director.
PreferredPrior human resources experience in payroll data entry, records retention, recruitment, and benefits.
