- Identifies and interprets cardiac rhythms.
- Notifies appropriate nurse of changes in cardiac rhythms.
- Documents daily interpretation of cardiac rhythms.
- Utilizes knowledge of monitor system operation to assist in the proper care of patients.
- Performs clerical duties (order entry, telephone management, and unit organization).
- Requires exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to foster a supportive role in assisting members of the care team.
- Requires intermediate level computer skills.
- Experience navigating an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) in a hospital environment is preferred.
- High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Cardiac monitoring experience/education in a critical care setting is preferred.
- Two years' Health Unit Coordinator/Patient Care Technician experience in an acute hospital setting is preferred.
- Must be able to effectively communicate in English via verbal and written means.
- BLS certification is required upon hire.
- Arrhythmia Course Certification is preferred.
