Position: Stryker Combat Vehicle Mechanic

Duration: Contract to Hire

Location: Joint Base Lewis McChord, Tillicum WA

Salary: $ / hour

Must Haves:

• 2-5 years' experience as a mechanic working on Diesel Engines and Hydraulic systems
• Documented commercial training and/or experience acceptable in lieu of military vehicle experience
• Working knowledge with Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, Power Point
• Must have WA state Enhanced Driver's License or valid US Passport
• Must be US Citizen

Plusses:

• Experience on Stryker, LAV 2.5 or LAV III
• Experience performing maintenance on tactical/combat vehicles preferred (91B, 91S, 63S, 63W or 63B)
• Demonstrate good housekeeping skills and communication skills
• Ability to juggle multiple tasks at once

Day to Day:

The function of this position is to perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on Stryker platform and associated equipment to bring the fleet to a 1020 standard. You will conduct quality checks of vehicles in accordance with de-processing check sheets and Joint Technical Inspection forms. You will handle equipment modification and installation, assist team members in technical areas as needed, and perform safety operations, preventative maintenance checks and hold organizational maintenance procedures. Additionally, you will actively engage in promoting a workplace free from environmental health and safety related hazards including training and ensuring proper use of personnel protective equipment as deemed appropriate.
