- Brings patients to the treatment area after evaluation by the triage nurse and at the direction of the triage nurse.
- Obtains vital signs, gathers patient data and records on patient chart.
- Initiate IV lines, and obtain lab specimens as needed.
- Sets up suture trays and other sterile fields.
- Applies dressings.
- Assists with/applies orthopedic devices including but not limited to ace wraps, crutches, knee immobilizers, finger splints and wrist splints.
- Assists patient with emergent needs.
- Provides psychosocial support for patients and their families/significant others as needed.
- Administers ACLS interventions at the direction and supervision of the attending physician.
- Graduate from a Paramedic Training Program.
- Certification as EMT-P
